The Unit of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Democritus University of Thrace organizes the 1st International Entrepreneurship Summer School in cooperation with the Business School of Nottingham Trent University.
During this International Entrepreneurship Summer School you will have the opportunity to meet with other international students and explore the international business environment working with peers from across the globe in teams while experiencing business in a practical format. Each team will be assigned a real business task by a SME in the region and will be guided by experienced venture coaches from academia and industry. Each team will test the feasibility of the business challenge through active research in the proposed markets. The combination of practical and academic classes from guest lecturers and successful entrepreneurs will enhance your entrepreneurship skillsets, and your ability to recognize and pursue business opportunities while learning what it takes to turn your ideas into sustainable business opportunities. Further more you will benefit from building long-lasting network of international excellent and entrepreneurial students.
Lecture topics include:
• Strategies for achieving and sustaining growth
• Practising the art of leadership
• Internationalisation and entering New Markets
• The Social Economy and how to create social impact through entrepreneurship
• Business Consultancy Projects and Business Concept Development
• Pitching Techniques
Lecture content and class material will be made available through an interactive online teaching and learning hub – the Summer School Entrepreneurship Hub.
The summer school will be in English.
